In this phase, you will begin to uncover your needs by talking about your feelings and learning coping skills to address daily challenges in a new way.

A common saying in therapy is, “if we can feel it, we can heal it.” Exploring feelings that may have fueled irrational beliefs, feelings, and behaviors in the past is important in acheiving healing in therapy. Trusting your therapist and the therapeutic process can result in feeling understood and supported. Once this is achieved, healing can occur.
